What is SOROA:
The Southern Oregon Rental Association is a group of rental housing owners and managers in the
· Providing information and education to improve the knowledge of rental owners and managers.
· Enhancing the reputation of Landlords and Property Managers by promoting professional practices by leadership and example.
· Lending our support and assistance on various community endeavors relating to public and private housing.
· Providing quality residential housing and making a fair profit.
What is our Association:
Our association is one of 14 associations of the Oregon Rental Housing Association (ORHA).
Our chapter has over 500 members which represent over 17,000 rental units in the
We also have representation at the State level via our local Legislative Representatives which meet with the other chapter representatives several times a year to deal with legislative issues of interest to Landlords and Property Managers as well as other issues of interest to all chapters. At these meetings we also discuss items with our State Legislative Lobbyist.
NOTE: Members may request to be placed on an Email list and receive periodic updates of bills before the Legislature of concern to Landlords. Click here to view sample of an update
Types of Membership:
Associate: A member with no rental units who would also like to have a listing in our monthly newsletter.
Regular: A member with rental units, but no listing.
Prop. Mgmt. Co.: A member with a Property Mgmt. license.
Dual: A member which has rental units and would also like to have a listing in our monthly Newsletter.
